Next Alumni Meeting: July 29th, 7 pm @ the Centreville Legion!

On Friday, August 6th, starting at 4:30pm, come join us at the Jetty Dock Bar in Grasonville for a night full of fun. Mike Hines and The Look are playing and I hear they have a great sound.

It's a little different this year. If you'd like to get in free, you'll need to register in advance or arrive before they begin charging a cover. We've been asked by the Jetty to provide a list of attendees who will be let in the door for free. In order to comply with their wishes and get the tent and beach donated to our event, and to get us in free for the night, we will collect the names, graduation year, and email addresses of all who think they will attend. As well, if you plan to bring guests, we'll need their names. No worries though, if you don't want to register in advance, you can still get in the door for free until 7:30pm. After 7:30pm, if you are not on the QACHS Happy Hour list of attendees, you'll need to pay the cover charge. The normal cover is $10. Let them know you are with QACHS and they'll give you a break and only require $5 per person.

So come early, stay late, enjoy the band, have a few cold beverages - maybe some grub, and hang out with fellow alums.

Meet us under the tent on the beach. Sign in so we know you were here. Grab a name badge so everyone knows who you are.

4-H Fair - August 9 Monday - Friday 5:00 to 9:00, Saturday 10:00 to 9:00
An email asking for volunteers to man the booth will go out to all members the middle of July
There will be drawings again for gift certificates if members renew/sign-up for 2011

Homecoming - October 9, 2010 Susan Boone will chair a committee to organize homecoming activites, including the parade and maybe selling drinks, etc. at the early morning games

Cookie Lee Jewelry - Debbie Brannock gave an excellent, informative presentation on how we could have a fundraiser selling the jewelry. She gave a couple of options and the one we thought was the most doable is the gathering in one place with each member bringing 10 guests and possibly having one or two other venders there. She will give the alumni assoc. 40% of the profits. It was decided the best times would be in Oct/early Nov for Christmas or in the Spring for graduation, weddings, etc. We need someone to volunteer to chair this committee.
